NRA FIRST Steps Pistol Orientation –
NRA FIRST Steps is designed to provide a hands-on introduction to the safe handling and proper orientation to handguns for classes of four or fewer students. This course is approximately three hours long and includes classroom and range time learning to shoot both revolver and semi-automatic type handguns. Students will learn the NRA’s rules for safe gun handling; shooting fundamentals; types of ammunition; the parts and operation as well as cleaning and storing both types of firearms. Students will receive the Basics of Pistol Shooting handbook, NRA Gun Safety Rules brochure, Winchester/NRA Marksmanship Qualification booklet and FIRST Steps Course completion Certificate.
We provide everything you will need; firearms, ammunition as well as eye and ear protection.

NRA Basic Pistol Shooting Course –
This Course teaches the basic knowledge, skills and attitude for owning and operating a handgun safely. The course is approximately six hours long and includes classroom and range time learning to shoot both revolvers and semi-automatic handguns. Students will learn the NRA’s rules for safe gun handling, safe storage, cleaning, selecting the right firearm for your hand, proper stance, grip and acquiring a site picture. Range time is included and we will fire both revolvers and semi-automatic handguns. Revolver and semi-automatic handguns as well as ammunition (.22 cal.) can be included at no additional cost or you can bring your own hand gun(s) and ammunition. Eye and ear protection will be available if you do not bring your own. Students will receive the NRA Guide to the Basics of Pistol Shooting handbook, NRA Gun Safety Rules brochure, Winchester/NRA Marksmanship Qualification booklet take a Basics of Pistol Shooting Student Examination, and course completion certificate.
Cost: $75.00 which includes lunch.
Interested in getting your Missouri Concealed Carry Permit? Attend a separately scheduled class which covers the Missouri Weapons and Self Defense laws and required live fire practice and qualification sessions. This class is approximately four hours long.
Cost for add on CCW or CCH Course: $50.00.
Missouri CCW Class –
The Missouri CCW course covers everything required by Missouri statutes to obtain a CCW endorsement. The course covers handgun safety in the classroom, at home, on the firing range and while carrying a firearm. The basic principles of marksmanship, care and cleaning of concealable weapons, safe storage of firearms at home, the Missouri laws relating to firearms and the justifiable use of force are also covered. Each student will be required to complete live fire exercises to demonstrate his or her ability to safely load and unload a revolver and a semi-automatic handgun and demonstrate his or her marksmanship with both. By Missouri statute this course is at least eight hours in length. Revolver and semi-automatic handguns as well as ammunition (.22 cal.) can be included at no additional cost but we encourage you to bring your own hand gun(s) and ammunition so we can help you feel comfortable with the firearm you will actually be using. Eye and ear protection will be available if you do not bring your own. Students are provided with the latest copies of the laws, other states that will recognize your MO CCW endorsement, and information on what to expect when you go to the Sheriff’s Office and DOR.

Kansas CCH Class –
The Kansas CCH course covers everything required by Kansas statutes to obtain a Concealed Carry Handgun License. The course includes a basic introduction to handguns, as well as information on firearm manipulation, marksmanship, the safe handling and storage of firearms and firearms care and maintenance. The legal issues relating to firearms and the use of deadly force are also discussed. Each student will be required to take a written test as well as complete a 25 round live fire qualification exercise. By Kansas statute this course is at least eight hours in length. Revolver and semi-automatic handguns as well as ammunition (.22 cal.) can be included at no additional cost but we encourage you to bring your own hand gun(s) and ammunition so we can help you feel comfortable with the firearm you will actually be using. Eye and ear protection will be available if you do not bring your own. Students are provided with the latest copies of the documents: “Other Prohibited Places – State, Federal and Tribal Properties”, Personal and Family Protection Act, K.S.A. 75-7c01 et seq., “Recognized Non-Resident Concealed Carry Handgun Licenses, and States that Recognize the Kansas Concealed Carry Handgun Licenses”.

Defensive Handgun Tactics
The Defensive Handgun Tactics course is an all-day fast paced course led by an instructor with over twenty years of service in law enforcement which includes experience as a certified law enforcement firearms instructor and armorer. This course is specifically designed for those who already possess a Conceal Carry Weapon permit.
